What Experiencers Have to Say!
As an artist with a thriving business, I credit CMBXP with many of the gains I've experienced this past year. Each session is carefully curated and the presenters are both respected in their fields and are fantastic teachers. I took a session on budgeting at the 2018 event that absolutely changed my business. As an artist it can be hard to find people in finance, business, and marketing that speak your language. I left last year's budgeting session with non-intimidating, actionable steps for crafting a beginner's budget. I am currently in a beautiful art studio in East Austin and I credit the session featuring The Art of Finance with helping me grasp my income and giving me the confidence to step out on my own. I highly recommend CMBXP to all creatives looking to explore the intersection of making and business. It is a truly rewarding investment.
It sounds a little cheesy, but CMBXP is truly like no other conference I have attended. The curriculum: rich and expansive. The speakers: diverse, and so very generous with their wisdom. The social events: DIVINE. Yet these aspects are not what made the Experience such a unique investment. What is so inspiring is the community and camaraderie that emerged between complete strangers over the course of three (very full) days. Different industries, different walks of life--everyone at different points in their journeys. Yet instantly there was togetherness, and it felt as though we were all marching down the same path, unified in our goals for entrepreneurship. There was conversation and sharing happening in every spare moment and we all shared in the excitement of being a part of this Experience. CMBXP felt more like “camp” than a conference. While each of us left with tons of information and strategies to apply, what I value most from the Experience is the connectedness between peers and the feeling of support from a like-minded community.

If you're a creative then you know it can be a challenge trying to figure out how to make a living from your passion. If you're a business owner you know there's going to be a point where in order to grow and scale your company you're going to need to implement systems. CMBXP is hands down one of the best events you can attend in order to gain all the tools necessary to improve and grow a business you love. Ashland and her team did an amazing job at providing a unique experience that combined art, business, and the art of business. Not only did I become a better improv artist, I'm currently using a client onboarding system in my personal business that I learned while attending CMBXP. The mixers, the people, and the environment provided are top notch. I came all the way from New Jersey to attend this event last year and there's NO way I would miss it this year!
