3D Design and Printing for Beginners

Ready to see how 3D design and printing can change the way you approach your business? When you get down to it, the applications are endless. You can create a prototype before investing heavily in a product or you can create a measuring cup for your friend’s birthday – and anything and everything in between!

In this workshop, Samara Barks, Instructor at Kids Can CAD Academy, will walk you through the basics of 3D design and modeling with TinkerCAD, a free online software. Have no fear if you’ve never 3D designed before! She’ll walk you through the program, how to create basic shapes, and how to use them to create a 3D model that can be printed on any 3D printer. In addition to a host of other resources Sam will provide you, you’ll also get to walk out of the workshop with a 3D printing of the project created in the workshop!

If you’re ready to experience printing in the third dimension and see your ideas spring to life before your eyes, then this workshop is for you!

**To fully participate in this workshop, you’ll need to bring your computer**
