Hate banal chit-chat? Does the term ‘networking’ leave you a little cold? Wish you had a better way to connect with potential clients, customers, and friends? Skip the jargon, the get-to-know-you-games, and the awkward name tags. Let’s explore the universal appeal of good questions to help you more deeply connect with more fruitful conversations. Learn how to distinguish between awkward and thoughtful silence, and have conversations that will help support your work and life.
This workshop is great for introverts, extroverts, and the rest of us in between. How do we set ourselves up to have more meaningful conversations (1 or 100 of them) – and get to the heart of the matter much more quickly? We’ll explore why making fewer statements will help people know you better. Learn how to prep, step-by-step, and ways to achieve the most important metric: clear next steps. We’ll discuss four question categories to gain insights into what someone values and believes – and maybe even a pain point you can help solve. Turn your strengths into open-ended questions that inspire and make you memorable.
You should attend this workshop if you want to make networking *really* work, intentionally and generously.
After this workshop, attendees will gain:
- At least 3 questions they can use immediately
- Tips for creating ‘next steps’ to further the relationship
- Four question categories to use in any situation
