The words vulnerability and authenticity have become so buzzworthy that a new term has been coined: performative vulnerability (read social media). The days of highly curated and perfected selfies and avocado toast are shifting to expose more of our clutter, physical and otherwise. And yet, just the act of creating a post, slide deck, or story are inherently performative acts. So how do we strike the right balance of performative vulnerability when creating a social media post or work presentation? Is it even necessary to infuse vulnerability in everything we create? Join in for a workshop that may ask more questions than dictate answers because the truth is that vulnerability is not quantifiable.
You should attend this workshop if you dig Brené Brown, but don’t totally get what she means by vulnerability and shame or how it is applicable to your day to day life.
In this workshop, attendees will uncover how to insert vulnerability into anything they are cultivating and that there is no one way to be vulnerable.
