Kayla Ritchie has fifteen years of public relations experience ranging from a wide variety of clients in the consumer, lifestyle, entertainment, startup, and political/social justice space. She began her career in Los Angeles in 2005 working in entertainment public relations for several major studios including Warner Bros, Sony Pictures and Disney. She then relocated to New York City where she began working in the world of progressive communications specializing in women’s issues and gun violence prevention on clients such as Everytown for Gun Safety, Planned Parenthood, Ultraviolet, ACLU, and Amnesty International. Most recently she worked for Sunshine Sachs as an Account Director in both New York and Austin offices. Starting in the New York office, Kayla was eager to get back to her Texas roots. At Sunshine, Kayla led a variety of accounts including HBO Docs, RVshare, Siete Family Foods, Brady Campaign to End Gun Violence, Home Depot Foundation, Austin Film Festival, ATX TV Fest and many more. Kayla recently left her role at Sunshine to pursue her career as a freelance communications consultant in Austin.
